We have enjoyed the benefits of solar heating and alternative energy for years.

Our house is heated with hot water that runs in PEX piping  in a poured concrete floor.   The water is heated by solar collectors that supply a number water heaters.   Only one of the water heaters is actually heated by propane as a backup.  The other two water heaters are to store the heat collected from the sun during the daytime.

If you have ever lived in a house with  warm floors, you will never go back.  Because the heat is in the floor, you can  walk around in your stocking feet.  Your feet feel the warmth and comfort radiating from the floor.  (The dogs and cat love it too!)

Don’t think that only your feet are warm.  If you have insulated properly, the entire house is warm and comfortable.

Because we use solar heated water,  it costs very little to heat our house – that fact warms our hearts.
